He was made in Japan in the 1950's. I did not find a manufacture on the toy.

The battery compartment is super clean and takes two D-cell batteries (not included). This is an AMAZING must have vintage piece. Vintage condition although Battery Compartment looks brand new, using two D batteries I had, I could not get it to power own, could be the switch or lack of knowledge.
