Vintage Battery Operated Mystery Action Western Special Tin Train Locomotive Toy

This vintage toy was did not turn on when batteries were placed in it. The battery connections on the inside of the compartment appear to be pushed to the side and do not make proper contact.

The vintage toy shows wear including missing wheels and coupling rods, the coupling rod on the one side is disconnected from the back wheel, the light cover is missing from the front of the train, some of the tabs to hold the train together appear to be out of place, the top has scratches, there are scuffs, and other signs of wear from use and age. The back of the train is marked "Trade Mark Modern Toys", and "Made in Japan". The train measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide, 5 3/4 inches high, and 13 1/8 inches in overall length. To avoid missing details in writing, plenty of photos are included so purchaser's can verify items themselves.
